ARNO AND FUENTES TO COMPETE AT SOUTH CENTRAL REGIONAL

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Texas Woman’s University junior Courtney Arno and sophomore Brisa Fuentes will compete at the 2006 NCAA South Central Regional Championships hosted by the University of Arkansas in Barnhill Arena on April 8 at 6:00 p.m.

          Arno and Fuentes both qualified as individuals based on their Regional Qualifying Scores (RQS).  Arno is competing on the uneven bars and balance beam while Fuentes is on the floor exercise.

          The regional includes No. 3 Florida, No. 9 UCLA, No. 18 Arkansas, Illinois, Illinois-Chicago and Southeast Missouri State with individuals from Illinois State as well.

          The Pioneers gymnasts will join the Fighting Illini squad for the meet, starting on bars followed by beam, a bye, floor, vault and another bye.
