LSU TO OFFER FREE AUDIO WEBCAST OF NCAA GYMNASTICS CHAMPIONSHIPS

BATON ROUGE – Fans unable to attend this week’s NCAA Gymnastics Championships in Corvallis, Ore., won’t have to miss a minute of the action as LSU will provide a free audio webcast of the event on its website, www.LSUsports.net.

The Tigers will compete in the first session of Thursday’s preliminary round competition. The meet and broadcast are scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. (CT).

Should the Tigers advance to Friday’s Super Six team finals that evening of competition will also be broadcast live over the internet with action beginning at 9 p.m.

Mike Smith, the voice of LSU gymnastics, will be handling the broadcast’s play-by-play duties. He will be joined by analysts Megan Durning and Jewel Pollock.

The Tigers are making their 18^th trip to the NCAA Championships and their ninth visit in the last 10 years. LSU will be seeking its first-ever bid to the Super Six team finals.
